Podcast Scripts

I've had the opportunity to work on several podcasts as either a writer or editor. Each one required in-depth research, fact-checking, and sometimes several rounds of revisions. And each show presented it's own unique challenges.

01

Take in the Outdoors with Nature Valley

This podcast was created in an effort to bring the experience of being outside to listeners when they didn't have a chance to actually GO out. In this episode, Walk to the Caves at Dawn, I recreated the journey a hiker might take on an early Spring morning to an isolated cave. I even went on several hikes myself to make the experience seem more authentic, taking particular note of what I heard.

02

IMdB What's on TV?

For several months, I served as the lead writer for this series, which gave listeners an idea of what to watch later that day. Every day, I would choose five series from a list of the most-viewed TV shows. When I had my selection, I would research and create little blurbs, previews if you will, of what viewers could look forward to watching. The greatest challenges in this series were the tight turnarounds for the scripts while also trying to find shows for listeners on days where new TV releases were few and far between (read: the weekend).

Shadow Realm

For this project, I served as an editor. My main focus was ensuring the story (which was being adapted from a novel) made sense, plot points were being hit on time, and the monologues fit the podcast format. Along with that, I was in charge of fixing grammatical issues, fact-checking lore and pronunciations, and pointing out any plot holes.
